The rules were simple. Post a picture that makes you smile every time you see it.
I had the PERFECT picture. BUT...
...my sister would kill me sixteen different ways if I posted it so I had to come up with something else.

And here it is: I love, love LOVE Alfred Gockel's work. My icon is my current favorite -- Endless Love.
Then there is this picture of my kidlings that makes me smile every each and every time I see it.

Yes, Lake Michigan is always freezing... you should see it now with chunks of ice floating in it.
I never even dip my feet in there. I have always lived close to the Atlantic for most of my life ... It's always a comfortable swim...

Artwork didn't even occur to me, though now that I see yours several fave paintings come to mind. Actually, yours is pretty cool, too. I was just so overwhelmed by my donuts pic nothing else seemed to matter. hehe. Great blogfest...and you have a lovely family!

Oh darn it, I would have loved participating in this - but glad I showed up in time to catch your post. Now I know why you used that Icon. Cool! I have two songs that never fail to make me smile, but I never thought of art or pictures until now. Off the top of my head, I think Maxfield Parrish's panting "Ecstasy" would definitely be one of them. And of course a picture of my kids!
