EYE CANDY BLOGFEST

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The rules were simple.  Post a picture that makes you smile every time you see it.

I had the PERFECT picture.  BUT...

...my sister would kill me sixteen different ways if I posted it so I had to come up with something else.
(Lynners if you're reading this...you can thank me for not posting the bread stick pic later)

And here it is:  I love, love LOVE Alfred Gockel's work.  My icon is my current favorite -- Endless Love.

Then there is this picture of my kidlings that makes me smile every each and every time I see it.

That was quick and easy, huh?  I'm off to see what everyone else has posted.  Here's the list:

Happy New Year, Vicki! Beautiful kids. Your icon is why I started reading your blog. Then of course, I just couldn't stop! :O)

Vicki,

Yes, Lake Michigan is always freezing... you should see it now with chunks of ice floating in it.

I never even dip my feet in there. I have always lived close to the Atlantic for most of my life ... It's always a comfortable swim...

What an awesome blog fest! Sorry I'm too lazy to compete but it looks like you have some great entrants and I've already seen a few of their entries and loved them!

You rock Vicki! Look forward to meeting you in 2011!

That was a beautiful piece of art but not as perfect as the photo of your children: they look picture perfect.
Happy New Year.

Artwork didn't even occur to me, though now that I see yours several fave paintings come to mind. Actually, yours is pretty cool, too. I was just so overwhelmed by my donuts pic nothing else seemed to matter. hehe. Great blogfest...and you have a lovely family!

I really like that art piece, I'll have to look more of the artist up, and of course the kidlings are cute!

Cute kids. Maybe you can slip in that photo of your sister some day...

Oh darn it, I would have loved participating in this - but glad I showed up in time to catch your post. Now I know why you used that Icon. Cool! I have two songs that never fail to make me smile, but I never thought of art or pictures until now. Off the top of my head, I think Maxfield Parrish's panting "Ecstasy" would definitely be one of them. And of course a picture of my kids!

I like that art, too! (and I would love to trade for children who would pose when asked. Mine trained me well when they were small to EXPECT NOTHING on the portrait front *rolls eyes*
