This is cruel

This,  my friends, is my seven day forecast.

Look at today.  48!

Now look at tomorrow. 18!

Going from 48 one day to 18 the next is a CRUEL JOKE from Mother Nature.

Overall, 18 isn't bad for January.  it could be in the single digits or, worse, below zero.  However going from a balmy, snow-melting 48 one day to a bone-chilling 18 the next is a bit of a rude wake up call.
Mother Nature, if your listening, I suggest you let us down gradually.  How about 38 tomorrow? 28 on Sunday and 18 on Monday?  You really don't need to shove us head first over this sheer cliff to get your point across.  We know you're in charge.  Can't you just humor us once in awhile?

Ouch. That IS cruel. It's supposed to be unseasonably warm in Louisville today, but we paid our dues a couple of weeks ago when a half-inch of ice coated absolutely everything!

That is cruel. Our temperature here in Georgia is suppose to be in the low 60s today (not likely) and be in the 50s and 60s all week. This after not getting above freezing several days earlier this week. Mother Nature does like to keep us on our toes.

Hope your New Year is warm, safe and wonderful.

So true about rapid changes in weather. It seems the older I get the less I can tolerate the cold. Happy new year.

And thank you so much, Vicki. My publisher forwarded your card and I got it yesterday. That was sweet.
All ready for the blogfest tomorrow. And it's NOT Kate!

Bit ticked, are we, ol' girl?
Vent, vent it's good for the soul. However, it will not change the weather. Sorry :O)

That is cruel! Stay warm tomorrow.

Today is First Night in Boston. I like it to be warm enough that I can enjoy the parade and fireworks, but not so warm that the ice sculptures melt. It's all about balance.

Happy New Year!

Eeeek, I don't envy you! We've actually had a heat wave here on LI the past 2 days. Temps in the FORTIES! It's slowly melting the 2 feet of snow we got from the blizzard on Monday. I really can't wait until winter is over!!!!!
