Ohhhh Blogger....Seriously?

I was so proud of myself.  A couple hours ago I'd made it through my unread blog posts.  YAY!

But I looked at it just a second ago....and now there are 442 unread posts.

I curled up in the fetal position and cried.

Okay, not really.

But I wanted to.

It seems my suspicion that Blogger has been holding out on me was more accurate than even I knew.

Fifty six new blogs added to my roll in one fell swoop.

To quote Evie from Paranormalcy (just give in and read it already, would ya?), "OH BLEEP!"

So, um, if you don't hear from me in the next few days, you might wanna call the authorities.  I may have been crushed under the weight of these unread blogs.

LOL the downside of getting all those new followers!

Oh, man! I feel your pain. I opened my reader tonight and there was that little 1,000+ sign there. I guess I should use that thing more than I do to stay in touch with blogs. It's just SO daunting when I get that behind! :o)

Have a great night, Vicki. Remember it's not the end when you can't get to all of our blogs. We'll keep and stay right where we are. :o)

Wow, that is a ton Vicki! But I totally know how you feel. =( Good luck with the reading (I agree with Jackee, sometimes you can't get to all of them and that's okay). =)

Is "BLEEP" code for a swear sword? Just swear, honey. Let it out! Haha. Honestly, since Blogger offered the new template options and finally labeled moderated comments with the post they were put on, I have been very forgiving of little glitches like this.

Still, this post is just more evidence of your status as a loyal and caring blog reader. Now plod on with your reading, soldier! Haha.

Blogs are a wonderful thing and I enjoy reading them very much. However, there are days it seems like when I finish one, three pop up in its place. Then I feel guilty if I don't read those right then and the cycle continues. LOL Good luck, send up a flare if you get too overwhelmed. :)

That's one reason I don't use Google reader (if that's what you use) I find it so overwhelming.

I've had to cut back on following blogs. Reading and commenting was just taking up too much of my writing time.

I've been asking myself lately (since I, too, seem remiss on reading blogposts) when reading them came to feel burdensome. It's a catch 22: I wanted followers, who I politely followed back, but now the adage, "Be careful what you wish for" rings in my head as I can't keep up with the blogroll. Truth be told, I pick a few of my faves (yes, Vicki, that includes you) and go to them first. If there's time, I go to my second tier blogs.

Good luck to you in catching up. I don't even try ;-)

It gets to the point that it becomes impossible to be completely caught up. But I still try.
